The Wii version of Amanita Designs’ Macinarium has been scrapped.
The development of the WiiWare game is almost finished, however, the studio has “decided not to release it because it’s just not good.” That’s according to founder Jakub Dvorský.
“The resolution is crap, and we had to squeeze the whole game (which is around 360 MB in [the] original version) into [the] 40 MB WiiWare limit. The music sounds terrible, the background pictures are heavily compressed, and we had to throw out … some animations.” That’s enough reasons, we reckon?
The game is still spreading to other platforms though. The “ultimate version” of the point and click puzzler will arrive on PlayStation 3 in 2012.
