THQ’s quarterly earnings call delivered a few interesting bits yesterday afternoon.
First off, Warhammer40,000: Space Marine has performed well enough to beat the publisher’s expectations; the Relic-developed title has shipped 1.2 million copies since its release in September.
The impending launch of Saints Row: The Third seems to have solid footing, too. Pre-orders for the Volition title are four times that of Saints Row 2 in the same time period. The insane trailers must be working.
Also revealed during the call were the publisher’s goals to release one or two high quality core games each year, next to a sequel or two. One such core title was said to be revealed sometime next month.
All eyes on THQ, then.
