According to sources within Apple’s supply chain, the company will release the iPad 3 and iPhone 5 in 2012, along with an overhauled MacBook Air and iMac, Digitimes reports.
Apple has apparently been gearing up to begin this production, and has ordered enough components to create two million iPad 3s by the end of this year. The device isn’t finalized, however. These components will include flat panel modules and LED light bars for two different iPad 3 prototypes, the source reports.
The new iPhone and iMac likely won’t be revealed until the second half of 2012, with no word on when the iPad will be unveiled.
