It’s been an interesting few years for Harmonix as the developer’s famed Rock Band franchise has seemingly fallen out of fashion and the team has embraced Kinect with the Dance Central series.
More new titles are on the way, too. That is according to chief operating officer Florian Hunziker, who told Bloomberg (via) that there are “multiple new music games” around the bend. Interestingly, these new games “won’t resemble” the Rock Band and Dance Central titles.
Furthermore, the developer expects to double profits should these new games be as successful as they think they’ll be. Given that Harmonix predict to rake in earnings of $100 million for 2011, that’s quite a bold statement.
When will we see these new titles? What platforms are they heading to? We’ll likely find out in the new year.
