This may be something handy for Battlefield 3 fans; EA’s launched a server status page for the shooter to let users know whether the PC, Xbox 360 and/or PlayStation 3 servers are up and running or out of commission.
The page, found here, updates every 60 seconds, so it might be a good place to head to first should troubles arise.
