The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a mammoth of a game. Not only content wise — and not because it actually has mammoths in it, either — its sheer popularity is quite unbelievable. The Steam version of the game has during the days following its launch late last week managed to out-do the biggest videogame giant of them all, Modern Warfare 3. And by quite a lot.
Looking at the service’s activity page, there are consistently over three times as many people exploring Skyrim than there are players occupying their time with Modern Warfare 3‘s multiplayer modes, with the RPG’s concurrent player count inching towards the 300,000 mark, MW3‘s record-breaking kick-off be damned.
