Time for us all to gather round and nitpick over the first set of game of the year awards; Spike has revealed its list of nominations for the 2011 Video Game Awards.
There aren’t too many surprises on the list as a whole, which can be voted on here (not that said vote will count towards who wins). It hurts our hearts a little to see Resistance 3 missing from best shooter and Dead Space 2 not getting a single nod, but there are plenty of noms for the likes of Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Portal 2 and Batman.
The show takes place on December 10, with some massive reveals promised including Metal Gear Solid Rising and a new BioWare project.
Oh, and we know Arkham City rocks, but it’d be nice if Back to the Future got Best Adapted Game, wouldn’t it?
