Sony have just dropped a load of PS Vita announcements, including new games and the first-party titles available at the system’s launch in Europe.
Exciting stuff first, then; new MotorStorm and Zipper Interactive titles were announced. MotorStorm RC is a Mirco Machines-like take on the franchise that will (brilliantly) work on both PS3 and Vita with just a single purchase. There will be 16 tracks across four different locations and multiplayer will be in for the ride too.
SOCOM developer Zipper’s game is Unit 13. This third-person shooter pits players against 38 different missions of varying shapes and sizes. It sounds more like The Club meets the developer’s own tactical shooter if anything, though co-op modes promise to take advantage of the Vita’s online functions.
The first-party launch line-up looks something like this:
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
ModNation Racers: Road Trip
Super StarDust Delta
Escape Plan is a nice surprise, but aside from that it looks similar to what we expected.
Also interesting to note is that Mortal Kombat is heading to Vita (also likely to be Ed Boon’s promised surprise from a few days ago) and Call of Duty will be out in 2012, though still no true details on the new game.
Vita touches down in the Us and EU on February 22 2012. We. Can’t. Wait.
