Given the annual release schedule the Yakuza series has been surprisingly hush-hush on its latest sequel, Yakuza 5. We normally see a 15 minute long trailer every TGS but this time around we’re only just getting first details from Famitsu (via Andriasang).
While the game picks up from Yakuza 4 rather than last year’s Dead Souls/Of the End spin-off, there are still some big changes in store for the franchise. Namely, main man Kazuma Kiryu will travel to five different cities throughout the game, including Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and, of course, Tokyo, though it’s unknown if this means the usual Kamurocho setting.
According to the mag the game will come to PS3 (no Vita for you) and feature improvements like faster loading times and better camera work.
We just want to see it right now, if we’re honest. Get Kiryu’s top off and let’s start smashing some faces.
