Google Chrome to get gamepad support and more

Search engine giant Google is to enhance its ever-popular Chrome web browser with new features, some of which could potentially be quite beneficial for gamers who play web-based games, and/or free-to-play titles.

Reports have Google’s Paul Kinlan revealing that Chrome will be adding support for plug-and-play gamepads, webcams and microphones come early 2012. During Develop Liverpool, he also mentioned the open source video and voice chat application WebRTC would be integrated into the browser, the ever-growing userbase of which has made the 200 million mark and shows no signs of stopping just yet.
