Nintendo has slapped a release date on its controversial 3DS accessory, the Circle Pad Pro. The device, which adds a second nub to the control layout, will reach the territory on January 27, 2012.
A standalone version will be available but a bundle with one of the first games to support the device, Resident Evil: Revelations, will also be released. Accordingly to Nintendo, the pad will allow us to ”use specific button combinations for more effective or expert play, or as a traditional ‘twin-stick shooter’.”
No pricing revealed just yet, but hopefully this falls in line with the Big N’s change of heart on 3DS pricing.
