Battlefield 3‘s sales have jumped to 8 million copies, up 3 million from the shooter’s week one performance of 5 million. That’s all sold-to-consumer figures, too. The shipped-to-retailers figure stands at 12 million.
EA CFO Eric Brown revealed the numbers at the Baird Technology Conference in San Francisco yesterday.
It’s still a far cry from main competitor Modern Warfare 3‘s records, but a considerable boost over 2010 predecessor Battlefield: Bad Company 2‘s sell-in of 9 million, which the title didn’t reach until being out and about for three months.
