PlayStation 3 will only match half of Xbox 360’s November US sales, analyst Michael Pachter is convinced.
Chatting with IG, the Wedbush man said he expects this week’s NPD data to show that 1,445,000 Xbox 360s were sold during the month, which would be up 5% year-over-year, while the PS3’s performance is forecast at 750,000 PS3 units, up 41% year-over-year.
Sony’s not in the habit of releasing of releasing its hardware sales numbers though as Microsoft and Nintendo do every month, so this is as close of a comparison as we’re likely to get.
Nintendo is predicted to have sold 1,050,000 Wii units (down 17% YOY), 750,000 DSs (down 50% YOY), and 760,000 3DSs.
Driven by the likes of Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, and others, November should be the third consecutive month game sales have seen growth. Fingers crossed.
