Gamers love getting recognized for their hard work. The Xbox 360 has Achievements and the PS3 has Trophies. And now, Nintendo has added its own achievement system to the 3DS.
Nintendo calls these Accomplishments. According to a Eurogamer report, these Accomplishments are currently limited to the Mii Plaza mini-game, and Nintendo has not said if it plans to expand the system at a later date.
Not everyone enjoys the idea of Achievements/Trophies/Accomplishments, but I find it to be a compelling way to keep players engaged. It was only a matter of time before Nintendo got on board.
