The original Trine has sold over 1.1 million copies across all the platforms it’s been released on, Frozenbyte’s announced as Trine 2 hit PC and Mac earlier this week.
Most sales of the puzzle platformer came from Steam and the Humble Bundle, though PSN and Mac App Store also added “major sales,” while OnLive and Linux are credited with having played ” notable part in keeping Trine 1 viable and a well-selling title to the day.”
All around good performance news then.
The $15 sequel Trine 2 is out now on the likes of Steam, GamersGate and Direct2Drive. It launches on consoles in just under two weeks, with 2012 bringing a considerable amount of add-on content. Here’s the latest trailer.
