Those looking for more out of Gran Turismo 5 are about to get just that; Sony’s racing sim has three separate updates due for the game this month, including DLC and two patches.
The DLC is the game’s second car pack, which features the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black edition R35, 2011 MINI COOPER S, 2010 Volkswagen Golf VI R, and a 2010 Volkswagen Scirocco R. It will hit PSN next Wednesday for European players, and is currently set at 3.00 Euros, though no word on a UK price.
On the same day the Family Upgrade will launch as a patch. Nothing major here; the pack simply lets all PSN accounts tied to the system the game is being played on use the DLC bought so far. Functionality Update 2.02 is the one that fans should look out for, which again launches on December 21, adding new features like changing wheels on standard cars. The Toyota FT86 ’12 will also be included in the patch.
It’s not exactly the ideal Christmas present, but these tweaks and additions should keep fans satisfied for a good while yet.
