Valve says those following Half-Life 3 rumors are being trolled

Speculation has run pretty wild in the past month that Valve is working on Half-Life 3. A few weeks ago a voice actor suggested that recording had begun on Half-Life 3. There was also an alleged t-shirt being worn with the logo of what would be a highly anticipated FPS.

Finally Valve writer Chet Faliszek has stepped forward and said that any rumors about Half-Life 3 coming anytime soon are false.

“You are being trolled,” he said, quite bluntly. “There has been no directive from [Valve managing director] Gabe [Newell] to leak anything. That is all false. I just want to say this so there is no confusion. This is the community trolling the community nothing more. While it is nice to see people excited about anything HL, I hate seeing people be trolled like this.”

So, there you have it. Fans can now take their excitement and push it somewhere else. However, we think Faliszek might be fibbing about how he hates seeing people get trolled. Everyone likes seeing people get trolled. It only when you are the one being trolled that it stops being fun.
