Sony’s PlayStation Vita was launched to much fanfare in Japan in late 2011, selling over 300,000 copies in its first week.
During its second week in the wild, however, sales dropped 78% and it did worse than the PSP. Ouch. What does Sony say? Nothing. Really.
When probed about the device’s performance by Bloomberg Japan (via), SCE PR head Satoshi Fukuoka gave a rather dry “no comment.”
Needless to say, it’ll be interesting to see how it does during its European and North American launches next month.
