BioWare has lately been working on subscription-based MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, but that doesn’t mean they’re done having fun developing free-to-play adventures. In an interview with Joystiq, BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka discussed the company’s need to charge a subscription for The Old Republic as well as its future in free-to-play games.
“We have some other stuff we haven’t announced yet coming from our play-for-free team that I’m really excited about, said Muzyka, “It’s gonna bring back some IP that people have a lot of fond memories around.”
Aren’t teases always better when they involve past franchises that we didn’t think we would get to see again? This tidbit from BioWare is certainly no exception. Let the speculation begin.
