Kinect (officially) comes to PC next month

CES is in full swing right now, and yesterday Microsoft hosted its last keynote conference at the show.

It’s never much of a gaming spectacle, but the company did announce that the PC version of the controller-free Kinect would be launching on February 1.

The device will allow programmers to conjure up some pretty interesting software that supports the device. Perhaps in future we’ll even ditch the mouse.

The price has been confirmed as $250, up a whole $100 from the 360’s. Will the added cost be justified in the tech?
