Sony took the chance to announce that the PS Vita has currently sold over 500,000 units during the company’s CES presentation yesterday. Company exec Kaz Hirai announced the news, which takes its figures from the recent Japanese launch.
PlayStation in general also had a good Christmas, shifting 6.5 million units, 3.9 million of which were PlayStation 3s. That keeps the company on track for its target of 15 million sales by the end of this fiscal year in March.
Vita, of course, is still waiting on its February 22 release over in the west.
