Sony Corp EVP and SCE chairman Kaz Hirai is betting on the PlayStation brand to lead the company back into profit.
The exec said as much during a CES roundtable discussion (via Reuters), noting that the PS Vita would play a key part in turning the company round. However current CEO and president Howard Stringer then insisted that, despite this, the TV market would remain Sony’s key focal point going forward.

Will Vita’s February 22 western release really lead the charge back in profitability?
