Cloud gaming service OnLive has found yet another outlet to distribute its streaming games – Google TV.
When the service launches its full gaming capabilities (promised to be soon), all Google TV devices will come with OnLive packed in, and in turn all units already out in the wild will be able to use it. That will mean we can use our OnLive controllers to stream console-quality games without a PS3 or 360 in sight.
This makes Google TV the first integrated TV service capable to playing console-quality titles. Combined with the ability to use OnLive via Microconsole, PC/Mac, tablets and smartphones, there’s now plenty of ways to getting into its service.
Is it the future? It will be some time before we have that answer.
