Square Enix arranges real treasure hunting for Tomb Raider’s return

Square Enix is to team up with treasure hunting site Geocaching.com as part of its campaign for the upcoming Tomb Raider.

Geocaching is an organisation with over 5 million participants, all of which hunt one of the 1.6 million geocaches hidden around the world. Players use GPS systems or the company’s own app to find the geocaches.

For Tomb Raider, the company will be creating a set of caches unique to the game. The campaign will span the course of the year, including not only the traditional treasure hunting games but also a photo-based adventure project.

Tight tank tops and hot pants are sadly not required. Does sound a bit fun though, doesn’t it?
