Minecraft has hit yet another new milestone. Having dumped its “beta” tag late last year, the indie hit is now 20 million registrants stong.
“Minecraft now has 20 million registered users,” developer Mojang head Markus “Notch” Persson tweeted over the weekend, also adding a little color to the figure: “At 70 kg each, that’s 25% of the weight of the Great Pyramid of Giza.”
Those are not all sales though, as only 23.23% actually bought the game.
Creator Notch himself is no longer in charge of Minecraft then, as announced a little over a month ago. Jens Bergensten is now the game’s lead developer. More on that here.
