Prototype 2’s RADNET edition unveiled

Prototype was a big disappointment. Radical Entertainment is attempting to make the game that we all wanted with Prototype 2, due out April 24, 2012. And apparently, they aren’t shy about trying to win people over by giving them an awful lot of bonuses for their pre-orders.

The pre-order comes with a pass code that allows free access to RADNET, which gives players “55 free pieces of additional content delivered for seven weeks following the game’s launch.” Among this content are in-game events, themes, avatar items, challenges, and behind-the-scenes videos. The best of these, though, are extra mutations for Prototype 2‘s main campaign. And on top of that, those who participate in every weekly challenge will receive “the ultimate shape-shifting reward.” Radical Entertainment says you’ll have to wait until March to find out what this consists of, however.

You can get the RADNET edition of Prototype 2 simply by pre-ordering the game. To me, this just sounds like a glorified online pass. However, if this can help to give us the game that we originally wanted from Prototype, I don’t care.
