Origin attracts over 9 million customers

Origin, EA’s rival to Valve’s download service, is gaining steam, if you will. The service has grown to “more than 9.3 million consumers,” the publisher said  during its financial briefing yesterday, revealing it’s generated “more than $100 million in non-GAAP revenue since launch.”

There’s still ways to go though, what with Steam having celebrated its 40 million accounts just earlier in the year and all. Support for it is growing though; WB, THQ, Capcom, CD Projekt, Paradox and a number of others have all vowed to offer their games through the service.
