EA’s 2011 acquisition of PopCap looks to be paying off already. During the company’s recent investor’s call, it was revealed that the casual games giant had increased its revenue by 30% year-over-year.
“PopCap’s great studio talent and powerful IP add to EA’s momentum and accelerate our drive towards a $1 billion digital business,” EA CEO John Riccitiello said of the news.
EA’s digital business, in which PopCap plays a big part, grew to $274 million this quarter, a 40% growth from year-over-year. It seems like there’s no stopping them at the moment.
