Star Wars: The Old Republic has sold two million copies to date, EA’s announced, with 1.7 million of those remaining as active subscribers. This comes after news of the MMO being the fastest-growing subscription-based MMO ever.
The continued success is credited to reliable servers (99.5% uptime outside of scheduled maintenance) and keeping players occupied with fresh content, the first of which, Rise of the Rakghouls, has already hit.
Up next will be an update this spring, “featuring even more content, new game systems and additional guild features.” BioWare released a video on future updates a while back as well, catch that here.
Of course, no stat boasting is complete without those wacky ones:
- Over 239 million in-game hours, or over 332,000 months and over 27,000 years of in-game time
- Over 20 billion NPCs killed
- Over 148 billion credits spent
