Skyrim a success story at IAAs awards

As usual the Annual Interactive Achievement Awards took place at the D.I.C.E. summit in Las Vegas this year, one of the few awards ceremonies to be held in high esteem in the gaming community.

It was Bethesda’ The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that took home the lion’s share of wins; the RPG claimed five awards including Game of the Year, RPG, Engineering, Direction and Story.

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception grabbed three of its own awards (Animation, Art Direction and Visual Engineering), as did Valve’s Portal 2 (Connectivity, Music Composition and Character Performance (for Wheatley)).

Other¬†notable¬†winners include Batman: Arkham City for Adventure, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Action, and Skylander’s Spyro’s Adventure for Innovation.
