Square Enix planned to do a little spring cleaning around the Final Fantasy XIV servers last week. The company had announced that it would cut the number of game servers from 18 to 10 this but, well, that hasn’t happened, Massively reports.
Instead, Square has decided to hold off on making the cuts while “reassessing” what to do. Apparently fan feedback has been strong enough to put a dent in the works and now the company is looking to act “in order to ensure that the most desirable and effective outcome is achieved, [the company] will be reassessing the method of the merger process.”
Perhaps the end result will be something a little less dramatic.
