The Old Republic hitting Australia, New Zealand, others in March

You’d be forgiven for not realizing that Star Wars: The Old Republic hasn’t launched worldwide yet. Despite the impressive success the game has seen since release, it’s still yet to come to Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.

That’s changes in just over two weeks. EA has announced that the MMO will release in each of these territories on March 1. Regional servers for each country will be put up, and players who already have an existing account on SWTOR can request a free character transfer to these servers.

“We appreciate that our fans in these countries have been patient and we are excited to deliver this same great customer experience to players this March,” said BioWare’s┬áDr. Greg Zeschuk.

There’s still time for some exclusive pre-order content in the form of a color crystal for weapons in Australia and New Zealand. A deluxe edition of the game will be available alongside the standard when it launches.
