Recall that Ubisoft release schedule that promised both Assassin’s Creed III and a new Splinter Cell in 2012? According to Ubisoft itself, said schedule is “inaccurate.”
While “thrilled and kind of amused to see this line-up news,” the publisher has put out a statement saying “this reported line-up is inaccurate.” Bummer.
“We guarantee you that you’ll hear directly from us soon about the amazing variety of games Ubisoft has slated for fiscal year 2012-13.”
Chances of a new Assassin’s Creed coming this fall are still very good, mind you, with CEO Yves Guillemot himself saying the next game will be the biggest yet. As for the Ghost Recon games, they’re confirmed to be out this year. As are I Am Alive and Far Cry 3, which has just received a September date.
Furious 4, unless delayed, was annonced as a 2012 release as well.
That leaves the new Splinter Cell as the potential no-show?
