PlayStation Store comic service to be removed

The PSP will be stopping its comic download service at the end of September, Andriasang reports.

According to Sony, content will no longer be added to the service from as early as March, eventually leading to the removal of the ‘Comic’ tab from the PlayStation store in September.

Users will be advised to back up their comic content using the Media Go program, as users will only be able to redownload already purchased comic content for the remainder of the year. Similarly, the Comic Reader application will become unavailable next year.

However, comic loving fans of Sony may be encouraged by the news that Sony is looking for alternative methods of bringing comic content to their users.
