With its release only less than a month away, the Mass Effect 3 news has been coming in fast and furious as of late. Just earlier this week, we reported that the game has officially gone gold, and right now players on PC, 360, and PS3 can try out a demo of the title for themselves.
And the news continues; the PC version of BioWare’s hotly-anticipated action-RPG will not contain gamepad support, including controllers such as the Xbox 360 controller.
Despite a solid number of fans clamoring for gamepad support on BioWare forums, community coordinator Chris Priestly promptly shot down the notion.
“The PC version does not support controllers,” said Priestly. “They may or may not work, but they are unsupported by the game.” Bummer.
While this decision may seem a bit antiquated, the lack of support should come as no surprise to PC players of BioWare titles, as Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, and Star Wars: The Old Republic all lacked PC gamepad support as well.
