It would seem that Remedy giving in to requests about bringing Alan Wake to PC has paid off, and in just two days. According to reports, the PC version of the once Xbox 360 exclusive recouped not only development costs, but marketing ones as well in under 48 hours after its release last week, on February 16th.
“We are very happy with the sales and hitting #1 on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing,” wrote Remedy’s EVP Aki Jarvilehto in a forum post. “We recouped our development and marketing expenses during the first 48 hours.”
He added, “and yes, we’re certainly very excited about PC,” which has been a stormy affair to say the least. But hey, it’s all in the past now; let’s have an American Nightmare next!
