Aion will be expanding its free-to-play presence; after adopting the business model in Europe later this month, North America will follow, NCsoft has announced.
No exact dates yet, but the rebranded MMO — it’ll go by Aion: Ascension — will be available free of charge sometime this spring, around the time the game’s 3.0 update hits, also bringing a new level cap of 60, new zones, mounts, houses, and instances.
The F2P version will include everything released so far (the base game and two expansions). In total there’ll be more than 3000 quests and 30 instances to get through. Auction houses will be present as well.
