Journey developer looking to go multi-platform

Now that the deal between thatgamecompany and Sony is coming to a close — meaning the studio has delivered the three PlayStation-exclusives it set out to create (those being Flower, flOw and the soon-to-be-released Journey) — the developer is looking for options on how to reach a bigger audience with their next project, for which it’s hiring, by the way. And it would seem co-founder Jenova Chen has found something.

“Right now we are very much exploring ways to bring our games to a bigger audience, beyond just PlayStation,” said Chen. “We are still in the process of negotiating, but I hope that we can announce it [soon]. But right now it’s still in the process.”

Care to speculate? Xbox Live Arcade, iOS, Android, PC… ? I’d ask you to speculate about the game too but you’d have to have a pretty vivid imagination to come up with an concept for a TGC-developed game. Then again, maybe you have one, in which case your time would be better spent by hitting that “hiring” link above than tell us about it and risk being robbed.
