Bonus content added to retail version of Alan Wake CE

Remedy may be celebrating the release of Alan Wake on PC, but not all is said and done just yet as the boxed version of the thriller is soon to hit shelves at retail. In order to entice people into getting it, the studio is boosting the release of it with a Collector’s Edition — which we already knew of — with lots of goodies and extra stuff for all you light-carrying shadow-busters wannabes out there.

What we didn’t know about the CE is that in addition to everything that’s in the package already, there’s now a fourth disc included with even more bonus material than originally announced.

Here are the detailed lists of what both the Special and Collector’s editions carry within:

Special Edition:
• Premium packaging.
• Disc 1: Main game plus both DLCs The Signal and The Writer.
• Disc 2: OST of the game including 13 Tracks (Audio-CD).
• 6 Post cards with different pictures/scenes from the game.
• Manual.
• 1 poster (printed on both sides).
• 7 stickers with different pictures/scenes/characters from the game.

Collector’s Edition:
• Premium packaging.
• Disc 1: Main game plus both DLCs The Signal and The Writer. The main game of the LCE contains audio commentary and background information by Remedy, which can be switched on in addition to the game.
• Disc 2: OST of the game including 13 Tracks (Audio-CD).
• Disc 3+Disc 4: Bonus Discs containing: History of Remedy, Making of Alan Wake, Making of a Thriller, music video “War” by Poets of the Fall, several trailers to the game, Storyboard (with concept art) as a movie clip.
• The Alan Wake Files; 144 pages containing evidence on the mysterious incidents around Alan Wake and Bright Falls, compiled by the fictitious author Clay Steward (no hardcover, same print format as the game manual).
• 6 post cards with different pictures/scenes from the game.
• Manual.
• 1 poster (printed on both sides).
• 7 stickers with different pictures/scenes/characters from the game.

The PC version of Alan Wake was recently released digitally on Steam, on February 16th, while the boxed retail version will launch later this week.
