MW3 content collection #1 announced, dated for XBL

Activision has announced the Xbox Live date for the first Modern Warfare 3 content collection release (there’ll be four total), at the same time revealing the next pieces of content for Elite members.

Made up of multiplayer maps Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch and Black Box, and spec ops missions Black Ice and Negotiator, the collection will arrive on March 20th. Those with Elite already have access to the first three multiplayer add-ons, and they’ll have an advantage going forward as well. For them, Black Box and the two spec ops missions will be available on the 13th, a week ahead of the collection’s release.

Here’s the word on the new spec ops outings: “Infiltrating a diamond mine aboard a snowmobile in the Special Ops mission Black Ice, your primary objective is to plant high-grade explosives in order to shut the mine down forever. In Negotiator, you head to India for high-stakes hostage extraction in which you’ll breach-and-clear rooms and navigate surface streets to ensure the safety of your VIPs”

PC and PS3 will get all the content eventually as well. For PS3 players, the content season began just this week.
