Battlefield 3‘s iOS entry, Battlefield 3 Aftershock, was last month, after a quiet release, pulled from the App Store due to quality concerns; player reviews of the title were not kind. It was even missing originally announced features.
It was expected to re-emerge in better shape somewhere down the line, but that won’t be happening now.
EA has told Vox Games that it’s decided to “suspend development and support of Battlefield 3: Aftershock and refocus its resources on other titles”.
No ands, ifs or buts there.
If you’re one of the people who have and enjoy Aftershock, the game’s servers will remain online for the rest of the month. As of April 1st though, the game will be no more.
