Update: Xbox.com brings news of 2-4 player online co-op.
Original story: And the news just keeps on coming for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed III.
Today’s press blowout has revealed several new aspects about the upcoming sequel, including a trailer as seen below. It’s in-engine, though not in-game, and reveals some enticing gameplay aspects.
Yeah, that musket kill is pretty damn amazing, isn’t it?
Branding it the “largest project” in the company’s history, an Ubisoft press release confirmed much of what we already knew about the game, including it’s three-year-long development life and doubled team size. The new assassin was also given a full name, Ratohnaké:ton, which he soon trades for Connor (most likely because we can’t say the other one). The game is developed using the Ubisoft-AnvilNext engine.
Oh, and one last shocker – it’s coming to Wii U. We’re not sure if that means a simultaneous release on the October 31st PS3, 360 and PC launch. Sure hope so, though.
