This year’s Hitman: Absolution will have crowds. Massive, 1200-head crowds even; all part of IO Interactive’s gameplay goals for the stealthy — or actiony, depending on how you choose to play it as the developer has made clear — title.
“A key requirement for this vision is to have very dense crowds which allow players to both interact with and influence the behavior of each individual character,” it’s said.
The tech is part of the developer’s new Glacier 2 engine, on show at GDC this week. Here’s a screen of it in action (click for larger):
Absolution remains release dateless for now.
