Remember when we were all nay-saying about the 3DS given it’s risky launch? Well Nintendo got the last laugh; the company has revealed that first year sales in the US alone have topped 4.5 million units.
As Kotaku reports, that’s nearly double that of the DS, which sold 2.3 million in its first year. We all know how well the DS performed in its lifetime, and now the 3DS is poised to do even better than that. Quite the dramatic reversal from last year, wouldn’t you agree?
Let’s see if the 3DS gets a redesign this E3 to help boost those sales even further.
