PS Suite SDK beta in April, full release in 2012

PlayStation Suite, Sony’s service offering PlayStation content on handsets and PS Vita, will launch an open beta for its software development kit next month.

Certain developers were let into the closed beta in the US, UK and Japan last year but now a wider range of teams will get to test the waters.

The full launch later in the year will retail for $99, and grant developers access to placing their own content on the PlayStation store. New content will also be rolled out onto the Suite throughout the year.
