Nintendo has announced that it has sold over 39 million units of the Wii in the US.
February saw 228,000 Wii units sold in the US, which pushed the total over the 39 million mark. More statistics revealed that 262,000 units of the 3DS and 135,000 DS units were sold in February in the US, with Nintendo’s hardware sold total reaching 625,000 for the month.
As well as this, Nintendo released some statistics about its titles; NPD data revealed that Super Mario Galaxy has become the ninth title to sell over 5 million copies in the US, while Pokemon Black and White sold a combined total of over 4 million.
Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 both sold over 100,000 copies in the US in February, taking their totals to 1.85m and 1.45m respectively.
