Last week, we reported that February saw the Xbox 360 continuing to dominate the ongoing console war in the US, topping the charts for the 12th straight month. Today brings a more exact figure to that news, as we’ve learned that Microsoft sold 426,000 units in the US alone last month. Pretty impressive stuff considering the recently unpredictable commercial nature of the gaming industry as a whole.
As we also told you a few days ago, Nintendo shipped 228,000 Wiis in February, a number that put the console over 39 million in US sales total.
As for Sony, no official figures were released, though they did vaguely note that their new Vita handheld had “exceptional sales” after its launch Stateside.
