UK Charts: The revenge of FIFA

Having spent six weeks off of the top spot, EA’s FIFA franchise once again finds itself in first place in this week’s UK charts, with the release of franchise reboot, FIFA Street.

In fact it’s a very good week for EA all round; last week’s number one, Mass Effect 3, now sits in second, followed by SSX and FIFA 12. Mario does his rounds after that, with Mario Party 9 and Mario & Sonic in fifth and sixth respectively.

The standard sweep rounds out the week: RAGE, Zumba Fitness, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Modern Warfare 3 round out the top ten in that order.

But what about Twisted Metal, you ask? Well, despite launching on Friday, the PS3-exclusive settled for twelfth. It could be worse, though; Yakuza: Dead Souls didn’t even make it inside the top 40. It joins Asura’s Wrath and El Shaddai in the “outside the top 40” club.

It’s not cool to sell copies, anyway.

Top 10 is in a neat list below.

1. FIFA Street
2. Mass Effect 3
3. SSX
4. FIFA 12
5. Mario Party 9
6. Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics
8. Zumba Fitness
9. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
