Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is happening. Disney’s confirmed the project for all Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as rumored. Here’s the kicker; it’s kind of a musical.
“I’m such a geek about musicals,” creator Warren Spector says. “I love the co-op and next-gen stuff, but for me, when a character breaks into song, which they do on a regular basis in this game, it’s magic.”
The rumors got the participation of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit right as well; “I couldn’t be more pleased,” Disney’s archive director Becky Cline says. “Once you give a character a voice, it takes it to a whole new level. I can’t wait for the public to see it and embrace Oswald the way that we have over the years in the archive.”
The game will be out this fall, with the first look happening tomorrow on GTTV.
For now, there’s more to dig for in the AP piece here.
