Social games giant Zynga has devoured another; Draw Something developer OMGPOP is now under the doggie umbrella.
“As a part of the Zynga family, OMGPOP will focus on building new mobile IP and strengthening its existing portfolio of fun and creative social games,” reads the announcement.
Draw Something has proven to be massively successful, having sold over 35 million copies since its launch on iOS and Android some weeks ago.
“The OMGPOP team has created a game that’s fun, expressive and engenders real social interaction,” says Zynga founder and CEO Mark Pincus of the game. “Draw Something has captured the imagination of millions of people around the world.”
How much Zynga paid for the company hasn’t been officially revealed, though an earlier report puts the figure at $200 million.
